Cinnamon Salt Dough Ornaments!

Countdown Calendar - Day 17 - Cinnamon Salt Dough Ornaments

Have you ever made Salt Dough or made Salt Dough Ornaments? I love how easy it is to make and you can do so many things with it! This is my favorite recipe because I love how the cinnamon smells and it gives the salt dough such a pretty color. It's fun to use white paint (or any color!) on your projects the next day if you want to get even more creative! Have fun and I can't wait to see what shapes you come up with!

Cinnamon Salt Dough Recipe:

1/2 Cup Flour
1/4 Cup Salt
1/4 Cup Cinnamon

1/3 Cup of Very Warm Water (this is approximate and depends on your dough)

Directions for Cinnamon Salt Dough:

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then slowly mix in some of the warm water and mix as you go. Once combined, remove the dough from the bowl and knead it with dry hands. If the dough is sticky just dust your hands with flour and knead it into dough.

Roll out your dough and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. If you don't have cookie cutters you can use drinking glasses or jars. Remember to add a hole at the top of your shape if you want to use it as an ornament or package topper! You will need to let your shapes dry for about 24 hours. If they are thick they might take longer.
